Nice to meet you!

My name is Kim Pennasilico, mother of a beautiful son and not so long ago, as a beautiful crown on our relationship of 15 years together, I married the love of my life: Richard. Our story starts in high school, where we met, but we met again years later after both of us had already lived our own part of life. Together with our children, we now have a vivid blended family.

Happiness

The first rays of the sun of the year make me happy, the blossom in the beautiful Japanese cherry trees, the smile on my son’s face, trips to Italy, a beautiful sunrise or sunset on the beach, walks through nature, warm summer evenings , dancing and cozy drinks on a (preferably sunny) terrace.

Deep conversations with friends and family at the dining table, while enjoying a nice glass of wine and homemade experiments from the kitchen also make me happy. And music! Cheerful Latin music, Ibiza lounge but also classic masterpieces; every moment calls for a different style.

In my spare time I teach Dutch to Italian children who live in the Netherlands and I really enjoy doing that. I try to be a good attendant at Zumba classes, meet my friends and my sister at least once a week. I also love to stroll through a city with my love and enjoy the local culinary delights.

At least once a year we visit family and friends in Italy and my “Happy Place”: the island of Ischia, off the coast of Naples. Every time I go there, I enjoy the colourful bougainvillaeas, the warm, hospitable people, the delicious food, the beautiful nature and the deep blue sea and I feel at home!

How do I work?

I am a professional, passionate and enthusiastic independent wedding celebrant & ceremonial speaker. With an Italian father and a Dutch mother, I always combine the best of both worlds in everything I do!

As a result, I speak fluent Dutch and Italian. I also lived in the Canary Islands (Spain) for several years, where I learned to speak and write Spanish.

As your wedding celebrant, I will bring the Mediterranean warmth, atmosphere & passion to the most beautiful wedding locations in the Netherlands, even when the sun isn’t shining! If you will have international guests coming over, I will lead your ceremony in a blend of two languages. And if your wedding will be abroad, I would be happy to travel with you!

I will be happy to come to you to meet in person and listen to your wishes and ideas for the wedding ceremony. What are your ideas about the Ceremony? Is there someone very important to you? Where will the wedding take place? Why did you fall in love? I want to know everything! With your permission, I also reach out to family and friends to understand who you are.

After you say: “Yes, you will be our official wedding celebrant!” I will write a personal wedding ceremony that reflects your story and personality and you will always remember with love (and your guests will too!)

We will stay in touch until your big day finally has arrived! Before and during the Ceremony, I will be there for you and I will make sure that it will be one of the happiest days of your lives! During the Ceremony, I will speak the language of your love!ce
