Wedding on the beach at the Cote d’ Azur
After I was warmly welcomed by Jessie en Lars in their beautiful home and their cute dog Pluis, all three (okay, 4) of us already knew; this is going to be so awesome!
The wedding was arranged down to the last detail and we were all so excited to be in Saint Tropez. When we checked the latest weather forecast it was like we suddenly were in the middle of a roller coaster. Code orange, which means that extreme weather conditions were on their way. And that is a serious thing at the Cote d’ Azur!
The wedding had to be located at a different venue within 48 hours. Some many decisions were to be made: Will the dinner be inside and where will the party take place? And what about the ceremony? Is it still possible to do it on the beach? Do we need tents?
All kinds of weather forecast apps on our computers were opened, but they all told something different! Fortunately, Liz@weddingbliz was the wedding planner. In her fluent French, with her years of experience, nerves of steel and, above all, her contagious humor, she has ensured that it was a dream wedding, despite all the last minute alterations.
After the torment, the sun was shining specially for J&L during the ceremony and they could say: “Yes, I do!” with their toes in the white sand of Saint Tropez, just as they had planned. All the guests were dressed in beautiful pastel colors and enjoyed the ceremony on the beach, while the sound of the waves accompanied my words.
Friendships were celebrated and grandma Margot was honored for being always in their lives. Tears of joy and emotions were shared and beautiful vows filled with their love for each other were spoken. At the end it was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have ever officiated! And Jessie en Lars lived happily ever after!
Review from the bridal couple:
As icing on the cake I received this review from them: “It was like ‘love’ at first sight when we first met. It was immediately clear that we wanted Kim as our wedding officiant. She is genuinely interested and asks the right questions. In September ’22 we got married in Saint Tropez. When we landed we were told that the location of the ceremony had to be changed due to code orange. Together with our wedding planner, Kim went on the road and arranged everything down to the last detail. The ceremony was beautiful; Kim had been secretly meeting with our loved ones. This resulted in a beautiful story with many in’s and out’s about us. In addition, she also helped us both with our vows, making it a real tear jerker for the family (and ourselves).
In short: Kim is more than a wedding officiant. She thinks along, cares about you and is there for you, even after the ceremony”.
Reactions from the guests:
“If we get married, we also want you as our wedding officiant!”
“I haven’t cried in the past 9 years, but you touched me so much during the ceremony, tears rolled down my cheeks. Tears of emotion, happiness and laughter!”
“So fantastic how you made Jessie en Lars shine”
“The ceremony was so personal, emotional, funny and stylish, we want you as our wedding officiant too!”
